Clicking this button allows you to sign a petition to enable a new slate to run in the 2025 US Election to the 39th World Zionist Congress. You can only sign a petition for one slate. Signing a petition is not your vote in the Zionist Election (to be held from March 10 to May 4, 2025). At that time you can vote for any slate that will be listed on the ballot.
As the successor gathering to the first Zionist Congress convened by Theodor Herzl in Basel in 1897, the World Zionist Congress is the international “parliament of the Jewish people”. In the United States the American Zionist Movement (AZM) organizes a grassroots election where the American Jewish community can choose its delegates to the WZC. Today, the WZC, which now meets about every five years, is the overall supreme ideological and policy-making body of the Zionist movement. The delegates and the bodies they form at the WZC determine the leadership and influence the policies of Israel’s National Institutions: the World Zionist Organization (WZO), the Jewish Agency for Israel (JAFI), Jewish National Fund-Keren Kayemet LeIsrael (JNF) and Keren Hayesod – which together allocate substantial funds annually in support of Israel and Jewish communities around the world. This election is also an opportunity to show broad support for Zionism and to express views on important matters affecting the Jewish community, Israel and the Diaspora.
